The operation of a spa is a subtle art between the relaxing contribution of the bubbler, which transforms the bath into a bubbling, and the effectiveness of the hydro massage produced by the turbine of the booster. The spa offers soothing to the body with the agitation of the water.
How Does Relaxing Massage Work?
The particularity of a spa is to have on its walls and in the bottom a multitude of nozzles which are as many jets for massaging. If we take a closer look, these holes are not all the same. There are two ways of massaging in a spa: propelling pressurized water through the aerodynamic hydro-massage nozzles or propelling air through the nozzles connected to the air compressor.
In a spa, you have two functions that combine air and water, which is what causes the liquid to boil and gives its name of the whirlpool bath.
To project the air into the bath, an air compressor takes its supply from the ambient air of the room or the garden and projects the compressed air into a circuit of flexible pipes which end at each nozzle dedicated to bubbling. The more powerful the booster, the greater the bubbling. Air compressors between 1 and 2 HP are generally used for a flow rate of about 5 m3 / min in private spas.
In some luxury spas with hot spring filters, the air distribution circuit at the compressor outlet passes through a heater so that the air entering the water does not cool it.
A sensation is provided by the spa’s hot water combined with the whirlpools created by the activation of the pressurized water through the massage nozzles. It is the feeling of weightlessness. And this feeling is a reality used by many physiotherapists in rehabilitation centers. Under the effect of hot water and the pressure of the water, the body can make all the muscles work effortlessly, as in weightlessness. It is beneficial for the muscle fiber whose blood circulation which feeds it is stimulated.
The individual spa has only taken over all the sensations used in beauty and fitness institutes for a long time. It is not without reason that thalassotherapy centers are equipping themselves with spas.
